Frequently asked questions

What does "6PM KST" mean for my time zone?

KST is Korea Standard Time, fixed at UTC+9 with no daylight saving. 6PM KST is one exact instant worldwide, but it shows as a different clock time everywhere — roughly 1AM in Los Angeles, 4AM in New York, 9AM in London and 7PM in Sydney. Enter the date and our tool converts it for fifteen cities at once.

Does this converter handle daylight saving time correctly?

Yes. The tool resolves each city using your device’s built-in IANA time zone database for the exact event date you enter, so spring-forward and fall-back transitions in the US, Europe, Australia and elsewhere are applied automatically. That is why you should always check the conversion for the specific broadcast date rather than memorizing a single offset.

Why does the date change for some cities?

A late-evening Korean live can already be past midnight in the Americas, pushing fans there into the previous calendar day, while an early Korean broadcast can land on the next day in Sydney. The worldwide table tags each row "next day" or "prev day" whenever the local date differs from Korea, so you set the alarm for the right morning.

How do I add a comeback or live to my phone calendar?

Tap "Add to calendar" to download a standard .ics file. The event is stored as a UTC instant, so your calendar app converts it to your local time automatically and keeps it correct even if a daylight-saving change happens before the event. A 15-minute reminder is included so you never miss the start.

When do Korean music shows usually air?

In KST the regular weekly grid is M Countdown (Mnet) Thursday around 6PM, Music Bank (KBS) Friday around 5PM, Music Core (MBC) Saturday afternoon and Inkigayo (SBS) Sunday around 3:40PM. Albums and MVs commonly drop at 6PM KST. Use the one-tap presets, but confirm the date on the official channel since holidays can shift shows.

Can my friends and I watch a live at the same moment?

Yes. Agree on the Korean reference time once, then copy the share link — it encodes the event in the URL with no server involved. Everyone who opens it sees their own local time and the same live countdown, so a group spread across continents is synchronized to the second for a streaming party.

Is my data sent anywhere?

No. Everything runs in your browser. Your last event is saved only in this browser’s localStorage, and the share feature encodes the event into the URL rather than sending it to a server. There is no sign-up and no tracking of which artists or events you look up.
